Antigua - 4X4 Jeep Safari

In Antigua we took a jeep safari into the inner part of the island. We went through a rain forest and also into some tiny villages. We saw much livestock to our surprise. Like goat, sheep, cows, chickens and mongooses. They put mongooses on the island to eat the snakes, so now no snakes live on the island. This is a beautiful island with lots of lush green bushes and rolling hills. We got done with our tour around noon, went back to the ship, took a nap and spent the rest of the day on the ship.

St. Lucia - Rain forests and Volcanos

The second island we went to was St. Lucia. This is a beautiful island. It reminded us of Hawaii. It was so lush and green and just beautiful. We went on sea and land tour. We rode a boat to a little fishing village along the coast line of the island. Then we took a bus up the mountain and saw a volcano and a waterfall in the rain forest. Our tour ended at scenic beach where we swam and layed around. It was great!!

Barbados - Swimming with Sea Turtles

In Barbados we took a catermeran around the island, snorkeled with sea turtles, visited a beach and walked around Bridgetown. Snorkeling was awesome, the turltles swam right up to us so we could pet them. The catermeran was great, but the beach was pretty rocky. Bridgetown was a busy, dirty city. I was on a hunt for a bikini and finally found one. We did not spend much time in the city.

WESTERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE

Zach and I both turned 30 this year and we decided to celebrate and go on a cruise. We went with just us and left the kids behind. They had a great time with their grandparents. It was the perfect time to go and we had a blast. We flew into Puerto Rico on Saturday night and spent Sunday sight seeing. Puerto Rico is a beautiful island and we love Old San Juan. We walked on the beach and visited an old fort called El Morro. It started to rain really hard so we headed to the boat a coupled of hours early. We had one day at sea and then went to five islands: Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Marteen, and St. Thomas. Zach and I both agreed that St. Thomas was our favorite and we could go back and stay for a week. We loved our trip, it was great!!

Bees Game and Thanksgiving Point Petting Zoo

We went to the Bees game on a very special night. After the game the kids were able to run the bases. It was so cute to watch hundreds of kids run around. Poor little Sydney fell as she was coming home. Her little run is really off balance and she trips over her legs. Jake ran fast like a race car. He made sure he stepped on every base. The next week we went to Thanksgiving Point with our friends. (Conner and Boston Snow, Damon Rasmussen) The kids loved looking at the Donkey's and riding the horses. We were not sure about the smell though.

Fishing! Fishing! Fishing!

Jake has been asking me to take him fishing all summer. So we finally went fishing and Jake and Sydney loved it. Jake was patient and waited and waited for a fish. Sydney just enjoyed being outside and holding her fishing pole. We did not catch a fish, but the kids had a great time.

First day of Preschool and Little Gym

On August 25th Sydney started terrific tots at The Little Gym. She is on her own 2 days a week and is loving it very much. She is so excited and says "I big cause I go to school." She also tells me what snack they have had and she has learned many songs with their hand signals. When I come to pick her up she hides behind the door and then jumps out and says, "I hide from you mom, again." It is so fun to see her grow and see how she loves this experience. Jake started his second year of preschool at Corner Canyon Academy. He goes three days a week and loves every minute of it. We car pool with his friend Ace Turley and Ace is also in his class. They love to play together and they say the funniest things on the way to school. Yesterday they were talking about the animals they saw at the zoo and making animals noises. Jake is learning his sounds and is learning how to blend letters. He has a great memory and loves his dad to tell him bedtime stories.

Then we drove on to California for the week. We went to the beach, Lego Land, shopping and relaxed by the pool. It was great!!
